What a crazy adventure these photos were ~ we went to a new (fantastic!) location ... but were plagued by bad traffic, construction, fading light, and then we were witnesses to a bike accident and had to wait for an ambulance to come before we could ever really get going. I'm amazed with all the drama at the beginning that we were able to shake it all off and just have a great time together. AND produce some images that I just absolutely love. Maybe I work better under pressure?! I'd still rather not repeat all the craziness again!

We were able to shoot these photos in this family's amazing backyard. Pretty much a photographer's dream ~ fall leaves, tall grasses, a little stream ... heavenly!

I have been photographing these two girls for years. This year I finally succeeded and got their parents to join them for their photo shoot! I'm so glad they did ~ I just love this family!











These last photos were purposefully taken on the same set of stairs from their photoshoot in 2009 ~ back when I was just getting my feet wet in the photography world. I have definitely grown as a photographer since, but it is so much fun to look back and see how these girls have grown too! See the original photos at {this} link.
