Allie

It has been quite a while since I have done any newborn pictures. I was a bit nervous. And very excited. I made a huge list of things I wanted to try out, backdrop/floor/prop combinations I wanted to use, even headbands and wraps for each different set. Of course I knew full well I probably wouldn't get to all of them, but I think planning for the session as I did helped me to be able to think clearly and be organized during the shoot. (Although you should have seen my living room, where we shot the pictures ~ hardly any walking room, it was so crowded with everything I pulled out that I might want to possibly use!) What made it even better was that the doorbell rang just minutes after I started taking Allie's pictures. It was UPS delivering my new 50mm 1.4 lens. That was great timing!

We had a wonderful morning. Little Allie (9 days old) was such a sweetheart. She was very patient and such a good little girl. I had a blast. Bring on the newborns, I'm definitely ready for more!
