San Juan, Puerto Rico
Our cruise departed out of San Juan. We got there early in the afternoon and didn't have to board the ship until the evening, so we had a great day exploring around the city. We were so happy to have some good friends of ours join us that recently moved from Lake Stevens to PR as well as my cousin who lives in San Juan and acted as our tour guide. She did a fabulous job showing us the sights! Here's a few shots I snapped while still aboard the airplane:
Our first glimpse of San Juan:
I have so many pictures from that day that I love, but these three just {might} be my favorites. I have always had a hard time picking favorites!
Some of the sights of Old San Juan:
There were so many interesting walls and textures. I was in photographer's heaven.
And thanks to our friends we even ended up with a few shots of me and my husband TOGETHER. Fun!
I love this one of my husband; especially because if you look closely you can see the rain coming down. Yes, it rained every day of our trip. But such nice rain. Warm. Started and stopped so suddenly. Nothing like our Seattle all-day-long drizzle!
I couldn't get over how gorgeous the streets were. I loved the bright-colored buildings and all the interesting doors. I could have walked those streets for hours more just taking pictures of doorways!
Time to board the ship came WAY too soon. We had such a great day exploring the city!
Sooo many more pictures from our trip to come, so stay tuned!

Looks like fun :) Can't wait to see more!
I just love the one with the green door and the man with the accordion. That's a framer. I'll have to call you and see how it all went!
It's fun to see the beginning of your trip. So glad you had a great time. Can't wait for more!
Heidi -- serioiusly -- you look so relaxed in these photos! I know that the 'cruise' part hadn't yet begun LOL but you look like you don't have a worry in the world :) Beautiful shots {as always}, and can't wait to see and read more!
